1890 Barn

This is a barn we restored and converted to a home. It has been many things over the years, an animal barn, a carriage house, a construction barn and a boat shop. We had to replace the foundation and rebuild the wing, The first floor was almost completely rotten away . The rear gable also had to be completely rebuilt . We added decks out back and a massive stone chimney . The entire frame is exposed on the inside and is gorgeous. we sandblasted off 100 years of grime and resealed the timbers with linseed oil. It is pretty impressive.

Barn before start, The foundation is crumbling and caving in.
The barn originally had a cupola that had been removed, we built this cupola with motorized windows and a fan for ventilation and cooling.
This is the barn on its new foundation, the wing has been rebuilt and the whole barn has a new roof siding and windows.
We restored the original barn doors and the hayloft door
